Solve for Tomorrow Boot Camp 2023

Now it’s time for this year’s Nordic edition of Samsung’s Solve for Tomorrow, a boot camp where you’ll learn about the latest in tech, innovation, and sustainability.

A learning experience with a few events stretched out over the course of four months.

Environment, Equality, or Health and Wellbeing. Or something totally different!

Anyone aged 18–25 can apply for Solve for Tomorrow, either individually or as a team. It doesn’t cost anything or require any prior knowledge, and you can do it alongside work or school. All it takes is an idea or a desire to change something. Is it related to environment, equality, or health and wellbeing? Or something totally different?

Submit the idea, and you could be selected for the Solve for Tomorrow Boot Camp 2023.

Preliminary schedule.

Round 1

25 March – 21 April

Learn about the latest in tech. Meet new people and work in an inspiring environment. Analyze people’s needs and challenges. Try design thinking and explore the art of ideation. Define ideas in a clear and compelling way. Transform ideas into clear solutions.

After a month of learning, creation, and meeting new people, your idea will be ready to compete for selection for Phase 2.

Round 2

22 April – 24 May

From idea to prototype to test. Discover new sides of yourself as well as a great team spirit. Explore group dynamics and communication to create change. Get coaching to develop your idea. Learn how to pitch. Pitch your idea to experts and leaders in the world of business.

Final

2 June

One winner and one runner-up will be selected by a jury. The winner gets EUR 5,000, and the runner-up gets EUR 2,500.

Every participant will get cutting-edge expertise, a diploma, access to the Hyper Island network, meet new people and make lots of smart and creative new friends. The two winners who excelled will receive mentoring from Samsung and Hyper Island to develop their solutions further.

Anyone who is 18–25 years old and lives in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, or Finland. See terms and conditions.

No previous training or work experience is required. The training is held in English, but we can help you with any Nordic language barriers if necessary. Everyone is welcome; it doesn’t matter if you’re in school, in university, unemployed, or working.

Solve for Tomorrow will take a total of approximately 65 hours.

Yes, you can take part individually or as a team with up to 3 members.

No, many of the winners in previous years didn’t have ready-made ideas. All you need to have is an area where you want to make a change, like the environment, equality, health, or something totally different.

Samsung will be evaluating the ideas and pitches that are submitted, together with Hyper Island, Space, and other selected partners.

We are looking for ideas and areas that can change the world and make it better. Your idea could be about health and wellbeing, the environment and climate, equality, or something totally different that could improve people’s lives locally or globally.

Once we’ve received your application, we’ll review it as soon as possible and let you know whether you have a place on the training program. Keep an eye on your inbox and spam folder and be sure to confirm your place before the specified deadline.

All parts of Solve for Tomorrow will be online but some sessions might also take place in person.
